1960 Willys Jeep CJ3B This stunning 1960 CJ3B has been my pride and joy for the last 2 years. I bought it from what I believe to be the 2nd owner who bought it from a widow following the passing of her husband. It received a light restoration and update circa 2001 and it appears that the powertrain was completely rebuilt. Less than 2500 miles have been put on it since that time. Always garaged.
I’ve owned nearly a dozen early CJ’s and this one has been the most fun to drive and gets attention everywhere it takes me. I’ve participated in a few old iron trail rides, 2 parades, but primarily drive it on the weekends with the kids around town.
This Willys Jeep is in near original condition with the Hurricane 134, T90 Transmission, and Dana 18 Transfer case. The front Dana 25 and rear Dana 44 axles appear to be original and have recently received a full fluid flush with new seals. Marks its territory like old Jeeps do.
The motor starts and runs strong. Oil pressure is healthy and the engine purrs like a well-oiled sewing machine.
Transmission shifts flawlessly and 4WD is fully functional and without fault.
12V Electrical, Fuel, Brakes, Cooling, Exhaust, Steering, and Suspension are all 100%
The battery holds a charge perfectly and I’ve never needed to use a trickle charger
The paint is a beautiful fire engine red but is not perfect
Upholstery has no tears, rips, or signs of damage. I sit 6’3″ and the seats are much more accommodating than those in my 2A.
Tires are in near new condition with no cracks or dry rot
Backseat is removable with new seatbelts
This Willys is road worthy and needs nothing to be enjoyed.
