1982 Jeep CJ8 Scrambler
This is a true CJ8. I purchased from a local guy that was in the middle of a total restoration with many upgrades when he began going through a divorce which forced him to sell. It was about 90% complete when I purchased it. I have since finished making the upgrades and although I have enjoyed it, I don’t drive it hardly ever so I have decided to sell. Mechanically it is in incredible condition. I hadn’t started the vehicle in several months and just the other day I turned the key over and it started immediately. The Jeep will drive down the interstate comfortably at 55 mph and actually rides and drives nicely. The biggest downside of this vehicle is that I have let it sit for most of the past year so there are a couple leaks around the front axles which I assume are gaskets. I’m sure this is an easy fix and may actually stop leaking if it was driven. It has only been in the mud once since all the upgrades were made and that was just going through a few mud holes for fun.. I don’t think the engine or trans has any leaks. I had rear axle replaced a year ago or so and while at the 4wd shop, I had the mechanic give me a list of all the upgrades it has. As follows are a list of these upgrades. I’m sure there are more that I’m not listing. The vehicle is in great shape but wasn’t built to be in car shows. The paint job looks good but wasn’t a high end body off paint job. Feel free to come check this vehicle out anyway you want.
