1982 Jeep DJ5 / Postal Jeep / Mail Jeep in excellent condition
1982 Jeep, if you’re looking for one of these, this is the nicest one I’ve seen around in a while. It has 54k miles. It was purchased for a film, received fresh paint and a thorough mechanical overview prior to shooting. Car runs cool and smoothly, stops well, starts easily, everything works including lights and gauges, engine was rebuilt by previous owner and doesn’t leak, smoke or make any weird noises, steering is quick and light, front end is great, brakes are strong, shifts properly, and has a current NYS inspection. The exhaust is hanging down and has a hole in it, but that’s the only thing that would need either repair or replacement. The car was originally from California and the previous owner actually drove it cross-country to New York(!) While I can’t imagine that was the most comfortable experience, it certainly speaks to its overall roadworthiness.
