I’m offering this up is because my wife and I are looking for a side by side to use for hunting and possibly getting a 4 door jeep next year anyways. Otherwise I’d be keeping it. This jeep has been a very good jeep to us.
Here I’ve got a 1994 Jeep Wrangler YJ
There is A LOT of good things done to this jeep as far as the build goes.
This build was done by the previous owner that worked for the 4 Wheel Parts (4WP) company out of Kansas. I purchased this jeep 5 years ago. It has always been serviced regularly and fluids have always been drained and changed after every summer.
Here are the details:
4.0L
5 Speed Manual
-17” pro comp aluminum beadlock wheels (they look very nice when cleaned up)
-40” pro comp extreme MT2 tires
-Axles are out of a 1978 Ford F250
– Dana 44 in the front with a Spartan Locker
– Dana 60 in the back with a lunchbox locker
-Chromolly axle shafts
-5.38 Yukon gears
-Smittybilt XRC Extremely heavy duty winch with synthetic line
-Smittybilt bumpers front and rear
-Differential covers
-LED headlights
-Customizable LED Rock Lights all the way around
-Extended shocks
-Flexible corded brake lines
-The Jeep is stretched in the front and rear.
-Disc brake conversion so it stops a lot quicker
-Corbeau seats with harnesses and lock bar
-Smitty Built body armor panels all the way around including tube fenders (missing one tube fender on the rear because the previous owner never sent it to me but you can purchase them online)
-Sound system that I installed includes marine grade stereo, marine grade amp, and wake tower speakers. (Needs two new wake tower speakers on the back. They don’t cost that much maybe $100 or so a piece depending on what you go with) (could honestly just use new speakers all around)
– has a new stereo
-Tub has rust holes in the corners but nobody has EVER cut their feet on anything. Can’t really see them from the outside at all as they are covered up with body armor anyways. Little clear coat missing on the hood has appeared.
-The jeep tub is a rusty in spots around the edges but the frame is REALLY solid on this beast most importantly. The jeep is not going to fall apart on you I can tell you that
-I have a nice soft top cover that goes with it (what is pictured)
Known issues:
– One rock light doesn’t seem to be coming on. Might be a simple fix or an easy replacement. I have more new ones in a box somewhere I believe that I could look for
– Blinker switch is about shot. It won’t hold on high beam anymore so it will only keep the headlights on the low beams. (I can look into that more if you’d like or even replace it)
– Two wake tower speakers in the back need replaced due to age. They are $120 for the pair. Sound good when they work and they are powered by a marine grade amplifier 1600W 4 channel. I would suggest putting new speakers all the way around in it as the two in the dash have just never worked due to being blow but I never needed them anyways
I’m probably missing more but that’s a good gist of it all. You can take this jeep as far as you want to as far as improving it goes but it’s already a pretty great rig just not perfect by any means.
You can daily drive this if you want or take it right to the trails. I use to daily it to work off and on. (Short distances) But with the way this jeep is geared, I wouldn’t necessarily plan on driving it long distance or at upper highway speeds (65-70mph) all of the time by any means. This jeep has NEVER let me down and it should treat you just fine.
