Make sure you have the money in hand before trying to buy this Wrangler. No Trades or Credit cards. Scammers…don’t even try been doing this too long.
Story: This 2006 Wrangler was stolen back in 2009. It was sitting in garage/yard with a cover over it until 2023. It was recovered by the police. When we got the steering column was broken(so they could steal it) and it wouldn’t start due to a bad cam sensor ($42 part).
It has a clear title with no know previous damage.
The good: After installing the cam sensor it started right up. More surprisingly than that the AC still blows cold. The paint looks original. The interior was cleaned, body and engine washed. After driving it we noticed a slight DEATH WOBBLE. So we replaced some of the bars on the front suspension. It’s aligned and drives fine now. The under carriage looks very clean for the age.
Known issues: Driver’s carpet has a hole(wear mark? no floor mat?). There is some surface rust(shown in pic)in the driver’s front foot well. They might have had the window down at one time or top down, who knows. The radio knobs don’t work like they should. You can turn it up and it may go up a fraction at a time. The driver’s front fender has a dent by the blinker. It did crack the paint. The hood has some stone chips in it. 2 of the fender flares have cuts in them. The tires I assume are original. I haven’t looked for the Build dates on them yet.
The windshield has a crack in it(There’s a surprise…)I can have it replaced with an aftermarket windshield for $150 EXTRA.
